Prophetic Message 2010
By Brent T. Lively

A time to Dig in.

2010 is a time to “Dig in”. Just as the Recabite family in the days of King Josiah, “dug in” obeyed their forefather’s command (Jeremiah 35:1-11). Those who obey the commands of the Lord will triumph in the time of conflict and societal upheavals. God has called His people to “set themselves apart” unto God. A generation is being formed that will be like unto the Recabite family; they will follow the ways of their father’s and mother’s simply because they obey their commands. God is turning the hearts of the fathers to their children and their children to the hearts of their fathers. They will overcome temptation, luring and enticements of Satan with a word, and they will never fail to have a son daughter to serve the Lord.

This will be a time when people will leave behind and get rid of the clutter of their lives, being totally abandoned to the purposes of God. Those who have never dug in to the deep things of God will begin to dig in. A line is being drawn in the sand. It is time for God’s people to “dig in”. The church is becoming a company of the committed. A “Band of Brothers and Sisters” who are committed for “better or worse” unto the advancement and declaration of the Gospel. Those who put their hand to the plow and look back, will not be used for God’s purposes in their generation (Luke 9:62). But for those who become the “plowman” will find themselves overtaking the harvester and new wine will abound (Amos 9:6).

Don’t look back at what was lost or what you once had. This is a time to look forward; keeping your eyes on the horizon and your hand on the plow (Luke 9:62). Plowing is hard work and involves breaking open the hardened fields of ministry (Psalm 141:7). Whole fields of ministry are untouched and are ready for plowing; the plower has to plow before the seed can be planted. Look for opportunities to break new ground, to open what hasn’t been opened. It is a time of plowing. Plowing involves cultivating, turning over, investing and re-investing so that the soil is prepared for sowing.

A Call to Prayer: Prayer itself is vital in “plowing”. Plowing is pioneering work; it is breaking up fallow ground or latent, dormant territory which hasn’t been worked or cultivated. The marketplace if ready for plowing. It is the great open ministry field of our time. It is ready for men and women to plow and prepare for ministry of sowing and reaping. Some will begin to recognize this ministry field in business, medicine, education and the arts, and will take up the plow so that there may be a harvest unto God. Believers will begin to see themselves as a “Plowman” so that they get in alignment with God’s strategies to declare the Kingdom of God to this generation. These men and women will set up “outposts” and bring these men and women into the family of God who will then join the people of God.

Time of Enlivening

The next decade will be a time of great enlivening. Though many will walk in the midst of troubles or foreclosures, God will revive them supernaturally; as they keep their eyes on the Lord they will see that God Himself will accomplish what concerns them. God will accomplish through them, what they could have never accomplished themselves. Churches will accomplish greater works as the Lord will powerfully cover their ministries; accomplishing for them what they couldn’t accomplish of themselves Psalm 138:7-8.

This “Enlivening” of the Church will result in parades of celebrations and declarations will unfold. Christians will celebrate the “Goodness of God” and publicly declare His goodness and greatness to the culture. Christians will rise up against tsunamis of wickedness and perversion. Through their praises and prayers we will see God part the waters of iniquity. There will be a resourcefulness come upon the Church and a cause for celebration among God’s people who will reclaim the age old foundation of declaring the Mighty Works of God.

Don’t forget, the shaking we’ve seen over the past 18 months is necessary. It’s not over either. Start believing for Joseph-like anointing to care for others. For God will raise up a testimony in the midst of great darkness and fear and His sons and daughters shall prophesy, dream dreams and have visions, and they will overcome every weapon of the enemy. They will welcome the refugees out of darkness with open arms. They will kiss them upon the forehead and they will be instantly delivered and gloriously set free; transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the glorious Kingdom of Light.

A Time of Unveiling:

An Unveiling of Injustices
God is the revealer of mysteries unsolved and unknown. There will be a great unveiling of the mysteries that are unsolved and unknown in 2010. What is veiled will be unveiled. Just as the hand of the Lord appeared on a wall and revealed the destruction of king Belshazarr (Daniel 5:5)… so the hand of the Lord will be against all those who have covered over wrong doing and have misused, abused, pirated and disdained God’s treasuries. It is a time to come clean and confess, before the hand of the Lord reveals what has been covered up. God’s justice will triumph over cartels, unions, special interest groups, lobbyist, alliances, partnerships, organizations and individuals who have been weighed on the scales of heavenly justice and found deficient and un-repentant. This uncovering will affect whole nations. The righteous will rejoice as many evil workers are brought to justice. Those who have said, “Where is the God of justice?,” will see clearly God’s hand of justice. For the foundation of God’s throne is His Righteousness and Justice (Psalm 89:14).

The great divide in North America will become greater. God’s righteous judgment upon His Church(1 Peter 4:17), will bring greater discernment upon God’s people to distinguish between the righteous and the wicked; between the one who serves God and the one who does not serve Him. Those who have exalted themselves against the Lord of Heaven will be found out and God’s mighty hand of justice will prevail. The Church will begin to thank and praise God for who He is, “for all His ways are justice”. (Deut 32:4). When Christ died to pay the penalty for our sins it showed that God is unequivocally righteous, because He gave appropriate punishment for humankind’s sin, even though Jesus forgave those who would believe in Him for their sins. God’s foundation of Justice is forever revealed at the Cross of Christ, which fully expresses God’s heart of mercy and forgiveness for all who will repent and who express faith in Jesus Christ. (Rom. 3:25-26) God has certainly not forgotten those who have been victims of injustice. Greatest of all…the unborn. There will be increasing conflict and a greater divide among American’s over abortion and the cries of the saints and the unborn will not go unheard and God’s justice will prevail.

A post modern American “Civil War” will be acknowledged as Christians rise up and renounce injustice and form compacts and protest. Protestants will become “pro-testants” again and will no longer surrender their freedoms or be latent or passive in their political involvement. Heavenly walls will be erected; strongholds that are impenetrable, that no movement or agenda will be able to dismantle or destroy. Christians will mobilize and assault the enemy with a massive never before seen full-force engagement against atrocities, immorality and hostility toward a Christian world-view.

The church will begin to rise up with a two edged sword in their hand to execute vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples who have spoken against the Lord, Jesus Christ and who have blasphemed the Spirit of God. They will bind their kings with chains and their nobles with fetters of iron. This is none other than the binding and loosing ministry of the saints who will not remain silent and who will execute the judgment of God in His Righteousness which is an honor for all His people (Psalm 149:6-9).

The intercessory heart of Jesus will be awakened in the church and prayer ministries will bind the works of darkness and loose the bonds that have imprisoned the captives. The prayers of the saints prayed in the spirit of Truth will thwart many strategies of sabotage against the church. Terrorist attempts will be sovereignty thwarted, and supernatural undermining and unraveling will protect the elect (Isaiah 54:11 and Micah 5:4).

Extraordinary illumination and wisdom, knowledge and insight, interpretation of dreams, explanations of enigmas and solving of difficult and perplexing social problems will be revealed through God’s elect who will supernaturally be led of God’s Spirit to declare God’s glory and expose injustices and perjuries. The cries of Justice will be heard and God’s heavenly court convened. There will be a day of reckoning on the earth as God hears the cries of His people, He will move mightily through His Spirit which will be poured out through His children. God will execute justice for the oppressed in 2010 (Psalm 146:7-10). The hungry will be fed, the fatherless and the widow will be supported, and the church will rise up to meet the needs of the fatherless, single mothers, and elderly. Those who have been wrongfully imprisoned, put away, or spoken against will receive justice.

An Unveiling of His Beauty

The other half of the unveiling will be the unveiling of great beauty; the beauty of the Lord. He will be seen in His splendor. The church will awaken to the beauty of the Lord, Jesus Christ Himself, as many in Christ’ Church (some for the first time) will begin to behold the beauty of the Lord, while whole denominations will awaken to the glory of the Lord. Many will say “my eyes have seen the glory of the Lord” (Psalm 145: 11). They will speak of the glory of God’s Kingdom and talk of His power; of His mighty acts and the glory of the majesty of His kingdom. Those with unveiled faces, who have beheld His glory, will experience unprecedented transformation of their identity in Him and will see that they are being made into His glorious image and being carried into the glory of God and His goodness (2 Cor. 3:18) .

And Unveiling of God’s Precious Ones

There will also be a disclosure in this unveiling. One’s like Joseph will be unveiled for the purpose of unraveling the purposes of God. What others have meant for evil, God meant it for good in order to bring about His present result, to save many people (Genesis 50:15-21).

Some who have been forgotten and discarded, and who have been hidden by God’s own hand will be unveiled so that others might see who’s they are and their value. Many of these precious saints will be rewarded and honored for the first time in their lives and ministry. It will be an honor from God and man will speak it, but it will come from God. This is the beginning of a decade of promotion; where those who have been “hidden” who’s lives have been “hidden in Christ” (Colossians 3:3) will be promoted for the overall purpose of advancing the Kingdom of Jesus Christ on the earth. They won’t take the glory for themselves because they know that promotion comes from the Lord.

The Fall and Rising

“Behold, this Child is appointed for the fall and rise of many in Israel and for a sign to be opposed.” Luke 2:34

In 2010 the falling of some institutions, governments and organizations will fall and the fall will be complete and irreversible. Whole families involved in crime will fall (Luke 2:24.) Burning coals will fall upon them into deep pits from which they cannot rise. The Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted and justice for the poor (Psalm 140:10-13). Whoever assails you will fall because of you. This will be the undoing of the Lord, the sovereign hand of God over the beloved (Isaiah 54:15). This isn’t “Voodoo”, this is God’s Justice. This is none other than the sovereign hand of protection of God and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication is from God.

God will sustain those (who are His) who Fall.

Psalm 145:14 The Lord sustains all who fall and raises up all who are bowed down. Even as Pope Benedict fell on Christmas Eve 2009 at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome, after a “crazed” woman jumped the barriers during the procession. At 82, the Pope after falling got back up, and without interruption, continued and preached the Christmas Message to the world; “Wake Up”. In the same way, those who are the Lord’s, who fall in 2010 financially, through calamity or even from persecution, will be sustained by God. God will supernaturally raise up those who have been knocked down and it is the Lord who will raise up those who are bowed down because they have a message to give! If you get knocked down, just get back up and speak forth the message the Lord has given you. The church will also rise up “as the wings of the Lord” to help sustain those who have fallen. Look for the Saints who fall or are knocked down, so that you can help them get back up and speak the message of God. God’s mercy always triumphs over judgment (James 2:13) but for those who have been merciless, they will be shown no mercy in 2010.

Time of Vindication

The Church will begin to reclaim the cry for vindication. This is part of the work of the ministry of the saints, to vindicate the afflicted and to save the children of the needy and crush the oppressor (Psalm 72:4). For the Lord will vindicate His people and will have compassion on His servants (Deut. 32:36). The prayers of the Saints will cause vindication among the weak and fatherless, the afflicted and the destitute. They will rescue the weak and needy; delivering them out of the hand of the wicked, as the foundations of the earth will be shaken for Christ and His Church, who are possessing the nations (Psalm 82:3-8).

This will be a time of justice and God will maintain the cause of the afflicted and justice for the poor. The upright will dwell in the presence of the Lord and many will know the Lord’s vindication (Isaiah 54:17). Even as Job knew the Lord would vindicate him, so you will know it too by your spirit, “I know the Lord will vindicate me” (Job 13:18).

God will vindicate you by His Spirit. Not so you can exalt yourself, but that God will be exalted, so that Christ may be proclaimed and believed upon in the world (1 Timothy 3:16). Many who were wrongly accused, slandered and wrongfully treated in the last decade will be vindicated by the Lord in the next. The eyes of the Lord are continually toward the righteous. The righteous will be surrounded and the Lord will deal bountifully with them (Psalm 142:7). The fatherless, the oppressed, the blood of innocent, and the victims of the age of the Terrorists will all be vindicated. Terrorism will be reigned-in and contained, as the saints rise up through exercising dominion on the earth. People will look back in unbelief at the “reign of terror” and will sigh because justice has prevailed (Psalm 10:17-18). Just as the world sighed when Adolph Hitler was no more, so they will sigh in relief when the terrorist cells are contained.

Sons and Daughters

When the disciples came to Jesus they were like little children, they didn’t know anything. Jesus taught them, breathed on them, empowered them with the Holy Spirit and they became “distributors” of this new life through Jesus Christ. Once we become born again, our desires should begin to change. We should begin to desire more of God, desire to see the things of God in our generation, our desires toward raising up children; “spiritual sons and daughters”. Our hearts will begin to turn toward the children, to equip them and empower them to break off bond yokes, so they can be free to accomplish God’s will in exercising dominion and advancing Christ Kingdom on the earth.

In 2010 there will be an awakening in discipleship. The church will begin to train sons and daughters who will be taught of the Lord (Isaiah 54:13-14). They will fulfill the restoration of an age old foundation among God’s people. The sons and daughters well-being will be great; they will excel in sports, medicine, business and the arts because they are set apart unto the Lord. Persecutions will come, but they will overcome. In righteousness they will be established and will not be moved. They will not fear epidemics or violence and they will be free from terror; as it will not come near them. For there is a future for the People of God!

Deliverance of the Lord will be great

Keep Alert and Keep Watch in 2010! Those who shepherd the flock will be attacked at their entrances, but the Lord will deliver them from all their enemies when the enemy attacks their Inheritance (field of ministry, family, possessions) and tramples their territory (Micah 5:6).

These deliverances come through prayer, fasting, worship and praise and ministering the love of Jesus to others. The greatest desire of all people, whether or not they are aware of it, is a desire for God. Unfortunately, countless millions try to fill that “God shaped vacuum” with almost everything else but God; but it will never satisfy. Notice God’s word says ‘He will satisfy the desire of the afflicted”. We must never lose sight of the afflicted’s greatest need and their greatest desire. The only one thing that can fully satisfy them is a relationship with God. That’s why no matter what we do, or how we serve, we must make it our priority to lead the person to an encounter with God. We owe that to everyone. Because other people contributed toward our encounter with God, we in turn owe that to others. Really loving other people isn’t just wanting them to get fed or off drugs or to have a better life, it’s leading them to an encounter with God where they will become satisfied in Him alone!

God speaks today in the New Testament as He did in the Old Testament

And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
2 Chronicles 20:20 KJV

v. 19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
v. 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
v. 21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
