Ministry of Prayer

After Jesus Christ was raised from the dead, He met with His followers many times during a period of forty days. He did far more than prove that He was alive. He spoke again and again about the Kingdom of God: the advance of God’s kingly love among all the peoples of earth.

On the last day He was with them, He told them to stay in Jerusalem and to wait for “the promise of the Father.” Just after Jesus was received into heaven, His followers gathered together in Jerusalem to do exactly what Jesus had told them: to wait for the promise of the Father. But it was not a passive waiting. They waited by praying earnestly for ten days.

As we read their prayers, and as we listen to what poured out from their hearts in the days that followed Pentecost, we get a good idea about how they prayed. Their prayers and statements sprang from the written Word of God. They prayed in fervent, hope-filled passion for God to fulfill His promises regarding His kingdom on earth.

Our MISSION

To call Christians from all nations to unite in repentance and prayer, and to collaborate as God’s instruments for the blessing and healing of the nations. Amen!

Deep Roots was founded on prayer. Before the church was established, Pastor Brent prayed earnestly, and prayer walked daily for six months, saturating northwest Las Vegas with prayers of intercession and deliverance. Out of that initial six month period came the evangelization of neighborhoods, and planting Deep Roots.

Life Groups

Weekly groups are the number one way to get connected to a church family.  Each week, through studying God’s word, we grow in love, fellowship, and friendship.  These are holistic groups involving worship, prayer, bible study, and ministry. Some groups meet in homes, while others meet at our building.

Leadership Community

Leadership Community is a gathering of Deep Roots families designed to integrate ministries, improve structures, and empower leaders to do the work of the ministry. Meets monthly on the first Sunday Night of each month.

Multi-Media

• Maintain and enter data for projection onto large screen for Sunday morning worship and other events. Training provided.

Sound & Lighting

• Understand and execute quality sound production for Sunday service and other events in partnership with media ministry. Produce sermon/event CD copies and manage CD library. Training provided.

Music Ministry

• Participate in rehearsals and Sundays with worship band through instrumental and vocal praise and worship. Prayer Ministry • Regular gathering of people who seek the Lord through prayer and intercession on behalf of their families, church, city, and nation.

Women’s Ministry

• Fellowship gatherings, Small Groups, Retreats, Provide for needs in the church, encouragement and spiritual growth for women. Men’s Ministry • Fellowship gatherings, small groups, retreats, encouragement and spiritual growth for men.

Communion

• Prepare, maintain, and facilitate communion for the congregation each week.

Leadership Community

• Equipping leaders for works of service. Meets monthly for fellowship, prayer, and training.

Healing Rooms

• Trained and gifted people gather to pray for and lay hands on the sick, broken and hurting to bring healing, comfort and wholeness in the power of Jesus Christ.

Offering Ministry

• Count, document and secure weekly tithes and offerings.

Ministry Team

• A ministry team of people who pray in agreement for the needs of the congregation during and after worship services.

Ushers

• Serve on Sunday by assisting with seating guests and facilitating offering bag and communion plate distribution.

Youth Ministry

• Weekly mid-week discipleship for middle and high school students through engaging Biblical studies, prayer, fellowship and fun.

Sunday School

• Discipleship of pre-school and elementary age children through exciting interactive lessons, crafts and activities. Serving is required for parents of attending children.

Fellowship Events

• Regular fellowship activities that include games, food, worship and much more to bring people together in an atmosphere of grace and love.

Board of Apostolic Overseers

• Pastor Brent along with Pastor Terry Moore give Governmental Oversight for the purpose of reproducing and extending the biblical model of Ephesians 4:8-16.

Kingdom Kids

• Weekly mid-week meetings for pre-school and elementary age children sharing key messages and impactful activities and crafts which bring faith to life and equip young people for Christ.

Nursery

• Nurturing care for our youngest members and guests ages 6 mo—2 years of age. Serving is required for parents of attending children.

Hospitality

• Front door greeters, cookie-makers, new guest hosts, parking lot greeters and others help to make this the “welcoming team” that offers a tender smile, warm hug, and worshipful spirit to new and returning guests each Sunday morning.

Youth Worship

• A music ministry for children and youth leading worship for mid-week meetings. Glorifying God through musical gifts and voices.

Housekeeping

• Behind-the-scene ministry that keeps our facilities clean, fresh and ready to use each week.

Food Pantry

• Reaching out to the poor and helping to feed those less fortunate is the core of this ministry.
