MANNA FROM HEAVENCHURCH HELPS SINGLE PARENTS IN RECESSIONLas Vegas, NV- Deep Roots Christian Church is hosting “MARCH-MANNA” an outreach to single parents on Saturday, March 20th from 9:00am.-3:00pm. Deep Roots Congregation has prepared to serve over 500 families on that day. The amount of supplies each family receives will depend upon their family size. In addition to receiving groceries, participants may also be eligible to receive free hair cuts and medical care (must call for appointment). Medical exams courtesy of Southern Nevada Community Foundation (SNCF), Dr. Shamoon Ahmad. An on-site free luncheon will be offered to everyone from 11:00-1:00pm. Live music will be provided for the even courtesy of musicians from area churches. Counseling and prayer ministry will also be available on site. “God still has the recipe for Manna! Ancient Israel received ‘bread from heaven’ during their forty year exodus from Egypt from 1445-1405 B.C. We want people to know that God not only loves us, but that He provides for our basic needs.” Pastor Brent Lively said. Area Churches participating in the event are “Christ Community Church of the Nazarene”, Pastor Brian Medley, and “Centro Familiar de Adoracion” Pastor Norman Sigui. Deep Roots Church relocated to a new building and held its Grand Opening celebration on September 28, 2008. The growing congregation has extended its services beyond northwest Las Vegas over the years, including outreach efforts in Mexico where church members help build homes, feed the homeless, and help orphans and single mothers.
